“I am honored to partner with Andy Vargas to bring the Andy Vargas Music Production Academy to the 47th Assembly District,” said Assemblymember Reyes. “Due to the disparity of funding for after school music and art programs in the Inland Southern California Region, I am working with the Andy Vargas Foundation to provide our students with opportunities to excel in the arts. I am excited to see the impact this program has made on our students.”

“We use music as a tool for self-expression, by giving children the skill of self-regulation and getting them ready for a successful life. My goal for our program is to share the inspiration that was given to me by the example of my peers. We learn by example, and when our students see the passion and love we have for music it becomes infectious,” said Andy Vargas. “When I visited the city of San Bernardino I saw the potential the city has to offer, and my heart immediately connected to the youth.”

This pilot program will allow Assemblymember Reyes to analyze the program’s success and participation to identify public policy solutions that will help provide successful after school and art programs in our district.

Andy Vargas performs at Mike Ward Auto Group in Highlands Ranch Colorado

It was a warm night full of great food and music. AVF’s very own Andy Vargas performed with his All Star Band at the Mike Ward Summer Benefit Concert. Andy was joined on stage by Bryant

Throughout the course of a three-hour show, Andy lead the audience through an electrifying set full of classic songs including Hotel California, Black Magic Women, Suavecito, Maria Maria and Souleros originals, The Beat and Tú Y Yo.

From the very first strum of the guitar the crowd was on their feet the entire night dancing to the infectious grooves and vocals from the amazing group of musicians brought together to help 3 deserving charities. Each of the charities focus on a different need of our global community.

ACE Scholarships is committed to helping low-income parents provide that opportunity to their children. Their mission is to provide children of low-income families with scholarships to private schools in grades K-12, and to advocate for expanded school choice.

Infinite Hero’s pledge to those who have risked their lives is to reward their sacrifice and bravery with support that articulates our gratitude. They partner with like-minded organizations to provide access to innovative rehabilitation programs that address the unique needs of veterans and their families.

We would like to thank ACE scholarships and The Infinite Hero Foundation for allowing us to participate and be a part of this great fundraising event.

he program was made possible by a combined efforts of a group of exceptional visionaries, Local Government Officials and the Andy Vargas Foundation. We would like to thank Andy Vargas, David Gutierrez, Victor Kristi, Gar Calhoun, Associate Vice Chancellor Richard G.E Galope of the San Bernardino Community College District, EDCT Foundation Director Ashley E. Gaines,  Executive Director of Economic Resource & Community Development Robert T. Mejia, Executive Director Economic Development & Corporate Training Robert Levesque, Special Events Planner  Economic Development & Corporate Training James (JT) Tillman and KVCR Public Media.

Our vision would also not have been possible without our partners OWC, Mackie, and KLOTZ cables. We thank you for your generous donations!

Assemblymember Eloise Gomez Reyes kicked off the program with an inspiring message to the students. Her message had the students excited for what was in store for them in the music program. Next she introduced Andy Vargas, one of driving forces behind the Andy Vargas Foundation and visionary for the program. He welcomed the students and gave them a glimpse into his 20 year career as the lead singer for Santana and his extensive resume in the music business.

The students were treated by special guest Bryant Siono. Bryant is a bassist, producer, musical director, and engineer. Over the course of his brilliant career, Bryant has collaborated with a wide variety of musicians including Frank McComb, Jonathan Butler, Prince, Chris Brown, Britney Spears, and many others. He spent four years performing with the Backstreet Boys, and since 2011, Bryant has served as musical director for music icon Jennifer Lopez.

He talked with the students about his experience in the music business and the numerous directions their musical careers could take them, the various revenue streams and the importance of associating themselves with a positive group of peers. After a Q&A session Bryant gave the students some insight on the music editing program Logic and his experience with the software.

The students were also given the opportunity to get hands-on with 3D printers where they could print the AVF logo, a guitar pick and a few other items that instructor Pablo had prepared for them.

After a lunch break, instructor Vision took over the class and dove right into the editing software Logic and demonstrated what it is capable of.  A quick over view of the signal chain, the mixing capabilities and virtual instruments built excitement. The students can not wait until next week where they will set up their custom Macbook Pros and dive into music production.
